Happy New Year and may 2019 be a wonderful year filled with fulfilled dreams, laughter, happiness and prosperity.
This month my team and I bring you reviews of your favourite new cars, including the McLaren Senna which The Savage drives at Silverstone, the Audi A6 in both 40TDI and 50TDI configuration, a full road test of the Mercedes-AMG G63, an attack of the off-road world in the Bowler Bulldog, our first local drive of the Lamborghini Urus, an equally comprehensive review of the flagship Audi Q8 50TDI, a blast in the new-spec BAC Mono and we go back to the Nürburgring in a Porsche GT2 RS to settle an old score.
We also launch two new features; the first is very technical and aptly named ‘Tech Torque with James’ and the second is all about famous racing drivers, which we just called ‘Racing Legends’ which kicks off with a look into the life of British former F1 world champion Damon Hill.
Our columnists bring you their usual high standard of journalistic creativity. In this regard Nadia touches on several aspects surrounding the subject of car design and happiness, Oliver talks about a promise he made to a friend, Kate debates the stupidity of foot-activated boot openers and I delve into some pet-hates.
Then we head off to China to investigate the new bizarre trend of decorating car shows with naked women. There is a serious side too; and in this regard we tackle the delicate subject of hot cars and the dangers the pose to children.
So we invite you to sit back and dive right into what, we hope, will be a thrilling and engaging read.
Happy and safe motoring!
